Free Quran Chapter 111: Thorns (Al-Masad)

Learn from GOD the consequences of oppressing or attacking believers and that money can’t help you against justice. Abee Lahab was prophet Muhammad’s uncle, he and his wife opposed prophet Muhammad and the believers. They used their wealth to fund many campaigns that made the believers’ lives a constant struggle. Many people believe they can use their money to compensate for their lack of religious practice and to cover for their sinning. However, it does not work like that. If you don’t believe in GOD, then all your charity is going to your ego, not GOD. If you give to charity, but you worship idols, like Jesus, or other prophets and saints, then again, everything you do for GOD will go to your idols. You are locked out. There is only one way to get access to GOD’s kingdom and that is through absolute obedience to GOD and to follow GOD’s commandments without any compromise.

Chapter 111: Thorns (Al-Masad)

[111:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

[111:1] Condemned are the works of Abee Lahab, and he is condemned.*

*111:1 Abee Lahab was Muhammad’s uncle and the leader of the opposition. His wife carried out a campaign of persecution against Muhammad and the believers. Like all descriptions of Heaven and Hell, the rope of thorns is an allegory.

[111:2] His money and whatever he has accomplished will never help him.

[111:3] He has incurred the blazing Hell.

[111:4] Also his wife, who led the persecution.

[111:5] She will be (resurrected) with a rope of thorns around her neck.
