Free Quran Chapter 103: The Afternoon (Al-‘Asr)

Learn from GOD why crime is committed mostly between the afternoon and late night and how to prevent it. In the graph above from the U.S. Department of Justice we can see evidence of how true GOD’s words in the Quran are. Many governments know about this issue and invest a lot of money in programs to prevent crime by keeping young people busy. However, they forget the most important piece to preventing crime. Which is the individuals own desire to be a righteous person. If you look at the graph’s white line, you’ll see that most of the crime committed by individuals under 18 is during school-hours and other such programs. The same line then declines around night time because these kids have to go home and sleep so they can wake up early for school or whatever program they’ve been forced into.

Then look at the green line that represents individuals that are above 18. Criminals plan their crime later in the day, because they are above 18 and can face prison. So they have to plan better and use the dark night to do their crime. Another thing this green line in the graph tells us is that those above the age of 18, who are part of a correctional program during the day, are still prone to committing crime when night approaches. This means such programs fail to prevent crime. Instead they make the criminal person think more carefully to plan their crimes better. The only people who don’t commit crime are the righteous people. They always tell the truth and they remind each other to do the right thing. Being good towards criminals solves nothing. In their eyes they see you as someone stupid and easy to take advantage of. It is therefore important that you distance yourself from criminal people and apply GOD’s laws as explained in the Quran when dealing with them.
